Further to our earlier announcement, below is the programme for the meeting between Chancellor Angela Merkel and subsequent press conference tomorrow, Tuesday, 12th July 2011.
10.30 - 11.30 am Courtesy call of Prime Minister Hon. Raila Odinga / bilateral talks between PM Odinga and Chancellor at Hotel Intercontinental. This session will be closed to the media.
11.40 – 12.10 am: Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Kenya and Germany. This event will take place just before the press conference and will take place in the same room as the press event. The two leaders, the PM and the Chancellor, will witness the event at the Le Chateau room.
Accredited press will be allowed to cover the signing of the MOUs and the press conference thereafter.
We went by the names you provided. Accreditation badges will be distributed at the Safari Bar downstairs, where we will provide refreshments and create a holding room for members of the press. From there, members of the press will proceed to the press conference room upstairs.
The number is quite big. Everyone will be required to be settled and ready upstairs by 11.30 latest. That means early arrival for collection of badges is advisable.
