These grassroot elections are very important indicators and testimony that ODM is the only forward looking National Democratic and Reform Party in full compliance with the provisions of the new Constitutional dispensation in the 2nd Republic.

These elections are meant to empower ODM Party Organs to play their important role as Public Institutions of Democratic Governance in accordance with the Values and Principles of Governance, Leadership and Integrity and Representation of the people provided in the Kenya Constitution.

Accordingly, the Board will be very strict in discharging its electoral mandate to ensure that Democracy prevails in the election process where only loyal and committed members of the Party will participate.

Consequently the Board is pleased to advice those who are seeking positions in the Party to note the provisions of the Constitution Art.77 (2) as read with section 15 of the Political Parties Act.

The vision of ODM is to build National Leadership based on the 47 County Governments as opposed to the selfish tribal coalitions which have created havoc in Kenya since independence.

Finally the Board assures all ODM members that it will consult broadly in the delivery of free, fair and transparent elections

Hon. Dr. Misoi
Secretary, NEB
