The Prime Minister will today, Monday, June 13, 2011, host students from different primary, secondary schools and universities at a symposium on issues around education and syllabus in Kenya. The discussion will be pegged on on going debate on required reforms to the country's education system.
The discussion will have a strong focus on where talent fits in the country's education. Proceedings from this forum will be fed to the task force currently gathering views on how to reform the country's education.
The event will take place at the Precious Blood, Riruta, beginning 9am.
Selected students drawn from Limuru Girls, Buru Buru Girls, Jamhuri High School, Lenana Boys, University of Nairobi and JKUAT, among others, will attend.
The PM is expected at the venue at 8.45 am.
