NAIROBI: Highlights of the Total Expenditure Estimates

Ministry of Finance

The Budget for FY2011/12 provide for total expenditures amounting to Ksh.

1,155 billion made up of the following:

(i) Ministerial Recurrent Expenditures – Ksh. 544.9 billion;

(ii) Ministerial Development Expenditures –Ksh. 398.6 billion;

(iii) Consolidated Fund Services – Ksh. 209.5 billion, comprising

of:

· Public Debt – Ksh. 173.2 billion

· Pensions and Gratuities – Ksh. 31.8 billion

· Salaries and Allowances of Constitutional Offices – Ksh. 3.0

billion

· Other Consolidated Fund Services payments - Ksh. 1.5

billion

(iv) Civil Contingency Fund – Ksh 2 billion
