The Prime Minister will tomorrow, April 5, 2011, launch the IMARISHA NAIVASHA, a restoration programme for Lake Naivasha. This programme is supported by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales' International Sustainability Unit.
The programme aims to restore Lake Naivasha Water Catchment. It involves measures to address sewerage disposal, rehabilitation of the Lake’s upper catchment, protection of riparian zones along rivers and restocking the fish in this lake whose numbers had fallen with rising pollution.
The event will take place at the KWS TRAINING CENTRE in Naivasha.The PM will arrive at the venue at 1:45 PM.
